The University of Calgary Men’s Rugby Program has a long history of developing student‑athletes who excel both on the field and in their careers. Our alumni include leaders in business, educators, engineers, trades professionals, first responders, entrepreneurs, and athletes who have gone on to compete at elite levels of rugby across Canada and abroad.
We operate with a true rugby club culture, welcoming players of all experience levels. Whether you’re new to the sport or have been playing for years, if you’re enrolled at UCalgary, you have a place here.
About The Program
The UCalgary Men's Rugby Program is a competitive club that represents the University of Calgary in the Prairies. Dinos Rugby does not cut players, but instead supports individual development with up to 2 development teams—Red and Gold. The Black squad is comprised of the top rugby players at UCalgary, and compete in the PUMRC each year.

2006-2019
Prairie Men's 15's Rugby Champions
For 14 consecutive years, the Dinos Rugby program dominated the prairies in 15's. The history of the club has left behind a team culture of winners.
2017-2019
Prairie Men's 7's Rugby Champions
The Dinos remained on top from the first year that sevens rugby was officially introduced to the prairie division, until it was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
